Design notes

Design documents, plans, and decision records — the why behind the fleet’s shape. Most of these are historical records with dated status banners: the banner at the top of each note says what was executed, what was never built, and what has drifted since, and the body below it is preserved as written (decision logs included) rather than silently rewritten.

Read the banner first. A note whose banner says “superseded” or “drifted” is still valuable — for the alternatives analysis and the reasoning — but fleet.yaml and the systems repo are the authority on current state.
